I am an international hooker with over 20 year’s experience - 10 years' of playing professional rugby and 13 years' coaching at a senior level.

Coaching

Having developed a number of players from academy level to the international stage, my broad experience helps coach not only technical skills but gives players an understanding of what’s required to perform at the highest level.

Scrummaging

The technical expertise of the front row is becoming ever more critical in the modern game. I can deliver scrum coaching on a 121 basis, with the front row unit or entire pack. Also available to upskill your coaching team in this competitive area of the game

Line-outs

The success of any line out is reliant on a number of components all functioning together.

Hooker

The accuracy to throw 5 – 15m is imperative. As a former hooker, not only can I coach throwing techniques, I can assist with creating the right mind set to deal with throwing under pressure.

Lifting & Jumping

These are key components to success and I can bring out the best in any second-rows to develop them as a line out leader and ensure they run a successful lineout

Maul

A successful team requires a powerful maul as a good source for scoring points. This is an area I have a particular passion for and have seen significant success across all teams I’ve coached.

Clients

I work with a range of different clients, from individual players to pro clubs. I have a proven track record in developing successful players and teams.

Professional clubs

Consultancy service to assist your forwards coach with technical expertise in specific areas.

Amateur clubs

Can assist with pre-season preparation and developing your players throughout the year to work more cohesively together or to develop forward specialisms.

Able to develop raw skills and improve the performance of a young team. Having coached the Scotland U20s, can assist young players understand the transition required to become a professional athlete.
